Alina Roß will compete at the FEI World Vaulting Female Championships for Germany. Get to know her in our mini interview!

2. Who are your team members?
Lunger: Volker Roß, Horse: Baron, Trainer: Daniel Kaiser
3. How did you experience the qualification process? What were your challenges on the way to the Championships?
Our way of qualification consisted of the CVI‘s in Ermelo & Aachen, as well as 2 national competitions. For me, especially the first start of the season in Ermelo was exciting. This year I wanted to qualify for the first time with my own horse Baron and my dad on the lunge. Baron has not run such big competitions often before, so of course it was exciting to see if he does it or not.
4. What was your best (or funniest) vaulting moment?
I think this year it was the technical test in Aachen. Because of the heavy rain there the competition had to be interrupted for one hour. Fortunately, the program went well anyway.
5. What do you expect from the World Championships 2022? What are your goals?
I want to show 3 good programs.
6. What’s your freestyle theme 2022 and why?
My theme is the movie ‘DUNE’ by Denis Villeneuve. The film was release in September 2021 and my coach Daniel suggested to watch it at the cinema. The music and the story behind it catched us and the next day we created the freestyle and the music.
