Johanna from the brand Glanzst\u00fccke has designed and made the catsuits for the German national squad to compete at the FEI World Equestrian Games 2018 in Tryon. Her unique and handmade vaulting dresses are absolutely stunning, so we have talked to her about her passion and her designs!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

> Who is Johanna?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Johanna Hestermeyer is 25 years old and has lived in many cities and countries throughout the past few years. But since last year she lives in Braunschweig, Germany.<\/p>\n

She started vaulting at the age of 8 and has loved it ever since. Injuries of any kind never stopped her from doing the sports she love, so you can say that she’s pretty passionate about vaulting.<\/p>\n

> How and why did she start making your own catsuits?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

“I’ve always liked sewing for some reason. I enjoyed seeing the finished products at the end of a day and knowing what I’ve been able to\u00a0 create within a certain period of time. At some point a good friend of mine asked me, if I could help her sew a unitard and after a while I needed one myself for individual vaulting. That got me hooked! <\/em>
\nAnd to be honest: I find inspiration everywhere. Where others see a dress or a shirt, I see a possible design for a new costume.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\"vaulting<\/p>\n

> Where can you buy her catsuits?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

“At the moment I don’t have a website, so customers can basically just get in contact with me through mail, Instagram or through previous customers. Most of my projects are bespoke and custom made, which is why at the moment I also don’t have a collection or anything where people can chose already sewed designs.”<\/em><\/p>\n

> How do you order?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

“The ordering process starts with getting in contact with me. The customers can tell me about their ideas, themes or wishes and I will do my best to get back to them as soon as possible. We will probably text a few times back and forth – about what is important to them, what colors they like and what kind of designs they like best- until I have an idea of what the customer wants (if they didn’t already send me a sketch). I can then send them a sketch, examples of fabric and make an offer.”<\/em><\/p>\n

> What are future projects?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

“I can only say: stay tuned. I have a lot of projects that are still secret at this point. But starting in early march there will be a bunch of news, reveals and pictures coming \ud83d\ude42 “<\/em><\/p>\n
