          Summer, sun and exciting decisions: The European Championships for Juniors<\/a> are – as usual for championships during the summer months – a hot competition in two respects. The temperatures in the big competition arena easily reached over 30 degrees on Saturday and the excitement got closer to the climax.<\/p>\n

          > INDIVIDUALS<\/h4>\n

          The three top female individuals, Fabienne Nitkowski (Dantez, Iris Schulten), Alina Ross (San Zero, Marion Schulze) and Samira Garius (Calaro AV CH, Mirjam Degiorgi) didn’t give room for any doubts in the second compulsory round on Saturday, still focusing on the medals and ranking on the first three places again. Just behind the top trio ranked Mara Xander (Lukas 1036, Andrea Blatz) and Nicole Brabec (Royal Salut, Manuela Bartsch) after the second compulsory round, so medals are still not out of reach. So the last freestyle on Sunday offers great excitement.<\/p>\n

          In the first compulsories of the second round on Saturday the ranking of the male individuals changed little, too: Gregor Klehe and Jannik Liersch took the lead in this test before Theo Gardies, the gaps were extremely small, especially between places 2 and 3. Even Sven Ris on Baldus (Martina B\u00fcttiker) from Switzerland is still in a promising position on a medal. So none of the medal contenders can afford greater weaknesses in the final freestyle today.<\/p>\n

          > SQUADS<\/h4>\n

          After the compulsories on Friday, Germany led by a considerable margin ahead of Austria and this team again had a comfortable lead over Switzerland. The question was whether this would be repeated in the freestyle. On Saturday, Switzerland was the first of the three leading groups to join the circle.<\/p>\n

          The Swiss team, lunged by Simone Aebi on Bentley 53, presented some gymnastically demanding elements, but also uncertainties and even a fall in their otherwise elegant freestyle.
          \nThe team from Germany, presented by Andrea Blatz on Humphrey Bogart 6, did precise exercises through their “Spice Girls” freestyle, which was consistently choreographed from the costumes to the arm and leg movements.<\/p>\n

          After this convincing performance, the team from Austria, presented by Karen Asmera on Don Quentin, had to reload. “What a wonderful world” – the Austrians showed an ode to nature in their freestyle with gymnastically demanding exercises, in which the team had, however, also a few uncertainties. As a result, Germany was even able to extend its lead and is now in a very comfortable position ahead of the final freestyle. The gap between Austria and Switzerland, however, is quite tight, which will provide suspense on Sunday.<\/p>\n

          Now we look forward to Sunday with exciting decisions!<\/p>\n

          Sommer, Sonne und spannende Entscheidungen: Die Junioren-EM<\/a> ist – wie es bei den Championaten im Hochsommer meistens ist – im doppelten Sinne ein hei\u00dfes Turnier. Die Temperaturen in der gro\u00dfen Wettkampfhalle kletterten am Samstag locker \u00fcber 30 Grad und die Spannung n\u00e4herte sich dem Siedepunkt.<\/p>\n

          > EINZEL<\/h4>\n

          Die drei Erstplatzierten bei den Damen, Fabienne Nitkowski (Dantez, Iris Schulten), Alina Ross (San Zero, Marion Schulze) und Samira Garius (Calaro AV CH, Mirjam Degiorgi), lie\u00dfen in der zweiten Pflicht am Samstag keine Zweifel aufkommen, dass sie die Medaillen weiter fest im Blick haben und belegten wiederum die drei ersten Pl\u00e4tze. Knapp hinter dem Spitzen-Trio platzierten sich in der zweiten Pflicht Mara Xander (Lukas 1036, Andrea Blatz) und Nicole Brabec (Royal Salut, Manuela Barosch), Medaillen sind also noch nicht au\u00dfer Reichweite. Die letzte K\u00fcr am Sonntag bietet also gro\u00dfe Spannung.<\/p>\n

          In der ersten Pflicht der zweiten Runde am Samstag \u00e4nderte sich auch an der Rangierung bei den Herren wenig: Gregor Klehe und Jannik Liersch setzten sich in dieser Pr\u00fcfung vor Theo Gardies an die Spitze, die Abst\u00e4nde waren dabei insbesondere zwischen Platz 2 und 3 \u00e4u\u00dferst gering. Auch Sven Ris auf Baldus (Martina Buttiker) aus der Schweiz ist noch in einer aussichtsreichen Lage auf eine Medaille. Also darf sich in der abschlie\u00dfenden K\u00fcr keiner der Medaillen-Anw\u00e4rter gr\u00f6\u00dfere Schw\u00e4chen leisten.<\/p>\n

          > GRUPPEN<\/h4>\n

          Nach der Pflicht am Freitag f\u00fchrte Deutschland mit deutlichem Abstand vor \u00d6sterreich und diese Mannschaft hatte wiederum einen komfortablen Vorsprung vor der Schweiz. Die Frage war, ob sich dies in der K\u00fcr wiederholen w\u00fcrde. Am Samstag musste von den drei f\u00fchrenden Gruppen die Schweiz als erstes in den Zirkel.
          \nDas Schweizer Team, vorgestellt von Simone Aebi auf Bentley 53, pr\u00e4sentierte einige turnerisch anspruchsvolle Elemente, allerdings auch Unsicherheiten und sogar einen Sturz in ihrer ansonsten eleganten K\u00fcr.
          \nDIe Gruppe aus Deutschland, die von Andrea Blatz auf Humphrey Bogart 6 vorgestellt wurde, turnte pr\u00e4zise durch ihre \u201eSpice Girls\u201c-K\u00fcr, die vom Trikot bis zu den Arm- und Bein-Bewegungen konsequent choreografiert war.
          \nNach dieser \u00fcberzeugenden Leistung musste das Team aus \u00d6sterreich, von Karen Asmera auf Don Quentin vorgestellt, nachlegen. \u201eWhat a wonderful world\u201c – eine Ode an die Natur zeigten die \u00d6sterreicher in ihrer mit turnerisch anspruchsvollen \u00dcbungen gespickten K\u00fcr, in der sich die Mannschafte jedoch auch ein paar Unsicherheiten leistete. Dadurch konnte Deutschland seinen Vorsprung sogar ausbauen und befindet sich nun vor der abschlie\u00dfenden K\u00fcr in einer durchaus komfortablen Situation. Der Abstand zwischen \u00d6sterreich und der Schweiz ist dagegen recht eng, was am Sonntag f\u00fcr Spannung sorgen wird.
